Stunt Performers from “Star Trek” and “24” are Recipients of SAG’s Honors for Film and Television Stunt Ensembles
LOS ANGELES (Jan. 23, 2010) - The stunt performers and coordinators from “Star Trek” and “24” are recipients of this year’s Screen Actors Guild’s honors for Film and Television Stunt Ensembles, it was announced today from the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® red carpet by Screen Actors Guild Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams and Awards Committee member Scott Bakula. The announcement was made on the live SAG Awards® red carpet pre-show webcast on tnt.tv and tbs.com which streams from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. PT.
Screen Actors Guild Stunt Ensemble Honors commend work within the stunt community during 2009 and recognize stunt performers and coordinators. Nominees chosen by their respective SAG Awards® film and television nominating committees were announced on Dec. 17, 2009. Ballots to choose the recipients were sent to the nearly 100,000 active members of Screen Actors Guild on Dec. 29. Balloting closed on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 at noon PT. Results were sealed by the Guild’s official election teller until Williams and Bakula announced them on the SAG Awards red carpet. The recipients are:
