LOS ANGELES (August 28, 2018) – For the first time, the Screen Actors Guild Awards® and SAG-AFTRA Foundation will participate as a Major Sponsor of the 45th Annual Telluride Film Festival, August 31 – September 3, 2018.
This coming awards season the SAG Awards will mark its 25th year of honoring actors. Participating at the Telluride Film Festival is an opportunity for the SAG Awards to kick off its Silver Anniversary festivities at one of the nation’s premiere film festivals while highlighting how it has been supporting artists for 25 years through contributions to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation. The new partnership between the SAG Awards, SAG-AFTRA Foundation and the Telluride Film Festival illuminates their common efforts to champion, nurture and celebrate artists.
“Much as the Telluride Film Festival brings together filmmakers and passionate film lovers to discover, encourage and celebrate the best in cinema in an intimate setting, the SAG Awards brings actors, industry leaders and a worldwide audience together to commend the year’s finest performances in an atmosphere of camaraderie,” says SAG Awards Executive Producer Kathy Connell.

Proceeds from the annual SAG Awards benefit the SAG-AFTRA Foundation and its emergency assistance program, catastrophic health fund, scholarships and free educational programs available to 160,000 SAG-AFTRA members nationwide.
