Hiroyuki Sanada: Oh, my gosh. Thank you, thank you. Thank you SAG Awards for recognizing us. This is so special because this is from you guys. And amazing. Thank you FX and creator Justin and Rachel for respecting our culture and believing in us. It was a great journey. 70% Japanese, and with subtitles, it must have been a big gamble for them. They were so brave, but SHŌGUN and this award showing us that acting is a universal language. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much. I'm very happy, but I'm also kind of sad because this is probably the last time I'm able to celebrate the work with you guys. I love you, the whole FX team. Justin, Rachel, thank you so much for everything. My team, I love you, Esther, TJ, Jake, Lorna, Alex, Chris. Thank you for believing in me always. Last year when this show came out, the only thing I wanted was for people to watch it, so this has been beyond my imagination. Thank you so much.
I feel like I'm in a dream of a dream. Thank you, SAG Awards, I'm Hiroyuki Sanada, actor. I'm so honored to be here with these amazing nominees. And thank you, FX, Disney, Hulu, and all the crew and cast members of Shōgun. I'm so proud of you guys. And I had a great journey with him. I started acting in Japan when I was five years old and moved to LA 20 years ago. And I worked with, luckily, I worked with great filmmakers and actors, I learned a lot from all of them. I can see some faces in this room. Thank you, guys. And I put everything, every single experience into Shōgun. Then Shōgun brought me here. So I'd like to thank all my coworkers in my life. And I would also like to thank my team for always supporting me. This is for you. Thank you so much.
Selena Gomez: Wait, we never win. This is so weird. Okay, well, Marty and Steve aren't here because, you know, they don't really care. But I'm just, I don't know what to say. Thank you guys so much. Remember to thank Marty and Steve. Oh, and thank you to Marty and Steve for helping raise me. But I genuinely am just so grateful everybody, the writers, everyone deserves this. And I take it home for all of us and I'm bringing this back to New York for season five. Thank you so much. I'm so grateful. Thank you SAG-AFTRA. Thank you to everybody. I love you.
I feel like such a bloody lucky bunny to even be in this room, let alone be nominated up here, honestly. When I first started acting, I had an office job alongside acting for about eight years, and it's a very geeky thing to admit, but in the mornings, I used to go into work and look at a PowerPoint presentation, there was like a kind of positive thinking vision board of all the things I wanted to do and the people I wanted to meet and work with. And Cate Blanchett and Jodie Foster and Kathy Bates were on that vision board. And so to be listed amongst them today. But also alongside Lily and Kristen who gave performances that absolutely knocked my socks off, really means more to me than I can ever express. So thank you very much to SAG-AFTRA for this. Thank you to everybody involved in Baby Reindeer for changing my life, really. And thank you to Richard Gad for making my dreams come true. I will never, ever forget being part of Baby Reindeer or playing the part of Martha. It means so much to me. So thank you. Thank you to my team and to my friends and my family watching back home. I love you and I cannot wait to celebrate this with you all. But honestly, genuinely, this means the world to me. So thank you so very, very much. Thank you.

Guilty as charged. But Brendan Gleeson fucking gave it to me, so I was just spreading the love. Thank you. Thank you so much. Hey, John Lithgow. It's so weird. It is weird. So many of you I grew up watching on television and film. Hey, John Lithgow. And so many I've worked with over the years and shared in the spirit of collaborative curiosity and all the stuff that we fail at doing and we succeed at doing, and none of it is ever quantifiable, and that's the beautiful thing and the annoying thing about what we do; it's just unquantifiable-it's playtime. You don't get to fully grow up; you get to kind of keep the dream of a child alive through trying to figure out what it is to be human, and it's uh so much fun, and time is running out fast. So I want to thank my fellow nominees Richard Um and Andrew Kevin and Javier-uh, my deepest respect and admiration for you. And this is... look, it sounds really cheesy. She said this; Kieran was right. It sounds cheesy to say; it is cheesy to say, but we're all supporting actors. You know, I get it; the big part's called the lead, smaller parts are called the day player and an extra, and all this stuff. But we all support each other. And that's what we do in the Bringing It Live stories. We support, like, no, but honest to God, thanks a million. And we support the writer's vision, the director's vision. So with that in mind, I'm accepting this on behalf of and sharing this with, like, Ryder Allen, who played Pequeño, you know, Pinguino. I mean, Ryder Allen did some serious lifting in this show. There was Clancy Brown, there was Michael Kelly, there was James Maddio, there was Carmen Ajogu. And really quick, please shut up, Farrell, it says. My family. I have to thank my sister who I've worked with for 22 years. I never thank her publicly. But Claudine Farrell, I haven't noticed. She's a producer and she's not my assistant. She's not my assistant just because she's family. She's a producer. My sister Catherine, who's the first actor in the family and showed me that that was a possibility that you could pursue that passion. My brother Eamon, who texted me last night that Netflix is showing this live. And he's staying up in his pajamas to watch it. Eamonn, I love you. Catherine, I love you. My mom, Rita, my dad, Eamonn, and the two people in my life who have made my life so much more special and so much more meaningful and so much more joyful than I ever truly thought possible. My son, James, and my son, Henry, I love you both. And we're going back to watch Shōgun tonight and finish it up.
