- Sterling K. Brown became the first African American to receive the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series award.
- Julia Louis-Dreyfus was selected for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series, making her the first to receive five individual television Actors®.
