LOS ANGELES (Jan. 25, 2012) – Matt Czuchry, a star of the hit CBS drama “The Good Wife” and a three-time Actor® nominee, will be joined by Vitalie Taittinger, Artistic Director of Champagne Taittinger, to open the red carpet at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® on Sunday, Jan. 29, executive producer and director Jeff Margolis announced today. The annual Champagne Taittinger toast marks the opening of the ceremony and will be Vitalie Taittinger’s U.S. debut as Champagne Taittinger’s new global spokesperson.
Czuchry joins a growing roster of actors who will honor their colleagues at the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards that already includes Kevin Bacon, Kenneth Branagh, Kyle Chandler, Jean Dujardin, Patrick Duffy, Tina Fey, Linda Gray, Judy Greer, Larry Hagman, Armie Hammer, Ed Helms, SAG President Ken Howard, Regina King, John Krasinski, Julianna Margulies, Natalie Portman, Maya Rudolph, Kyra Sedgwick, Octavia Spencer, Meryl Streep, Dick Van Dyke and Michelle Williams.
The SAG Awards® ceremony will be simulcast live nationally on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT) from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center. An encore presentation will air immediately following on TNT at 10 p.m. (ET) / 7 p.m. (PT)
Matt Czuchry, who stars as deputy state’s attorney Cary Agos on “The Good Wife,” has been honored with three consecutive Actor® nominations as a member of the series’ ensemble. He was previously best known for his portrayal of Logan Huntzberger on ‘Gilmore Girls” and his recurring role as Chris Kennedy on “Friday Night Lights.”
